Switchgear house for a container terminal

The reorganisation and expansion of the rail connection for a container terminal and the reorganisation and relocation of the energy supply system proved necessary in 2006.

Betonbau erected two two-storey modular unit switchgear houses along the new track layout. The third building is initially intended as a cable false floor with a roof and can be fully erected if necessary. The lower medium voltage plant room can accommodate 57 air insulated medium voltage panels. Two tranformer chambers are located in the upper storey for distribution transformers up to 800 kVA, a low voltage room, an EDP room and a UPS room. The entrance area in the false floor for cables is simultaneously realised as a cable ladder in the upper storey for cable laying in the building. The building is fitted with a composite thermal insulation
system and the rooms are fully air conditioned.
